The DRA leads the way in charitable giving throughout the tri-state area. More than $20 million has been distributed through our Grant Award Program since 1985. And the giving continues!

The DRA Board of Directors voted to expand the Association’s Charitable Distribution program to include an endowment and a signature project program called the Future Fund.

The Future Fund is the latest addition to the DRA Charitable Giving Program and is the first fund of its kind in the Greater Dubuque area. Unlike the traditional Grant Award Program, the Future Fund will provide significant dollars (minimum of $250,000) to million-dollar community projects.

The DRA Future Fund is designed to assist communities in the development of social, cultural, recreational, entertainment, and educational opportunities and programs. These opportunities and programs would position a community to take advantage of opportunities and strengthen a community’s competitiveness as a place to work and live.

DRA Charitable Distribution Formula:

Funds for Charitable Distribution will be distributed as follows:
• First $2,000,000 to the Grant Award Program
• Next $750,000 to the Future Fund
• All remaining funds will be redistributed 50% to the Grant Award Program, 25% to the Future Fund, and 25% to the DRA Endowment.

The DRA Board believes that our Charitable Distribution programs strengthen our community and make it a better place to live, work and play.
