The Dubuque Racing Association, Ltd. (DRA) is a not-for-profit corporation which operates the Dubuque Greyhound Park & Casino in Dubuque Iowa. The Association holds the license for both the greyhound-racing and slot-machine operations at its Schmitt Island facility, and is the co-licensee for the Diamond Jo Casino located in Dubuque’s Ice Harbor.

The DRA’s lease with the City of Dubuque provides that 40% of the Association’s funds available at the end of each fiscal year be distributed to the City of Dubuque, 30% be distributed to area charitable organizations, and 30% be placed in a reserve fund established by the Association.

Funds dedicated to charitable giving are distributed through the DRA Grant Award program, Future Fund program, and endowments to qualifying organizations serving the needs of the community.

The DRA has been a vital part of the community since its inception in 1985. Through the year our mission has remained the same: the DRA, through its racing, gaming, and entertainment facilities, provides for social, economic, and community betterment, and lessens the burden of Dubuque city and area government, while contributing to the growth and viability of Dubuque-area tourism and Iowa’s greyhound racing industry.
